THIS PAGE HAS
MANY PHOTOS AND TAKES A WHILE TO LOAD... maybe this would be a good time to do a load of laundry! Welcome to an amazing n-scale railroad world that's more than 1000 square feet in size. This incredible display includes miles and miles of railroad track, tunnels, aerial trams, rivers, lakes, boats, farms, cities, amusement parks, factories... even a huge castle and a futuristic robot factory, and has been a labor of love for my Dad, Jerry Murphy (in the plaid shirt), for decades. |

BUILDINGS Many of the buildings are handmade from caps, knobs, scraps, and misc. small items (such as the fishing lure used for the Mighty Minnow Harbor Tour Building). Below, can you spot the straws, caps, squeeze bottles, etc. that make up the Green Genie? Most stores and factories have humorous names (such as Gezund Heights Station). |

DETAILS Intricate details are found everywhere! Notice the man fishing in the reeds below one of the bridges. |

MORE THAN TRAINS... Trucks, cars, bicycles, large ships, small boats, working aerial trams, wagons, buggies, parade floats, and even helicopters transport the tiny residents of Murphyland. |
| BUILDING THE SET It's also fascinating to examine sections of the set that are under construction. The basic framework is plaster, cardboard and chicken wire. Hundreds of different kinds of gravels, sands, weeds and grasses, and bits of wood turn the plaster cast into a world! |
